This site celebrates the life and times of a great British blues/rock band – probably one of the U.K’s greatest undiscovered rock talents.
Recently billed as "The band that refuses to lay down and die quietly!" (see Reviews), Ruthless Blues will be celebrating its 27th birthday in 2006. So, it is quite incredible that after all these years the band is not only still together, but continues to turn out some of the best rocking blues gigs you’re ever likely to see and still have fun into the bargain. There have been a few personnel changes along the way of course (see Band History), but the band's drive and enthusiasm for the music they play is still very obviously alive.
If you've seen Ruthless Blues before you'll already know what the band is all about. So, some of the information on this site may already be familiar to you but there's other stuff here which has never seen the light of day before so hopefully you'll find something of interest. If, on the other hand, you're new to the band, we would like to bid you a warm welcome and hope that you also find the site interesting and maybe you'll come along to one of the gigs to check the band out.
Whilst the good news for all you Ruthless fans is that Ruthless Blues is still together, the bad news is that, with the band members now geographically spread across three countries, gigs are going to be few and far between in future. But they will be worth waiting for, we promise!
Obviously the site will have details of any forthcoming gigs, and any other interesting hot news items, etc. The site also contains a detailed history of the band and biog’s of the present and past members. There’s also a list of dep’s that the band have used, a "rogues gallery" photo album and loads of other good stuff to read and look at. Other bits and pieces will be added later. So make sure you add this site to your favourites or bookmarks right now!
Admittedly, the site has been rather a long time coming. But then, off-stage, Ruthless has never been known to do anything in a particular rush, (although on-stage is quite a different matter altogether!). And besides, we’re new to this web site building lark, so it’s taken a bit longer to pull it all together than we'd hoped. But we're learning as we go and the more content we add, the more new ideas we come up with. There's no really fancy clever web stuff here - yet! But you never know, we might even get to add some audio and video clips at some point – time permitting - but don’t hold your breath! You'll just have to keep coming back to see what changes we've made!
